NORAM signs 280,000 MTPY mononitrobenzene unit contract with Shandong Jinling company

NORAM Engineering and Construction company based in Vancouver, Canadan, won the contract for a 280,000 metric tons per year (MTPY) MNB unit for Shandong Jinling New Material Company. NORAM signed the formal commercial and technical contracts with the Jinling client for the supply of a secure, advanced and reliable adiabatic mononitrobenzene (MNB) using NORAM's leading technology for the 200,000 MTPY Aniline project of the Jinling Group, which will be located in Dongying city, Shandong province. This project will be the largest single aniline project in China to date.

At the same time, Jinling, NORAM and China Tianchen Engineering Corporation held the kick off meeting for the project, which is expected to start-up in April of 2011.

NORAM has established itself as the leading supplier of MNB technology, with plants designed and supplied by NORAM currently producing over half of the world’s MNB. Individual plant capacities ranging from 100,000 to 500,000 MTPY. Today, NORAM already has licensed 3 adiabatic MNB units with a capacity of over 200,000 MTPY in China.
